Driving under the influence of drugs is known as drugged driving and it is illegal and it is one of the major problems in the nation. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) it is estimated that each year, nine million of the Americans drive under the influence of drugs.
The fatalities which occur because of drugged driving are much more. Because of drugged driving thousands of accidents and even lives are being lost. Drugged driving is not only dangerous for the person who is driving by taking drug but also for the passengers and even the persons who are on the road. Drugged driving impairs one's motor driving skills, judgment and coordination of the brain with other parts of the body. After taking the drugs, the functions of the brain may alter. Drug acts directly on brain and can alter perception, attention and even coordination and even reduces vision.
