Due to this high improvement a new trend of Marketing known as online marketing is emerged. This concept was first floated about a decade back. In Earlier stage it was not boomed but as time went on businesses started to take the online marketplace usage. Now, at present time following are the types of online marketing:

  • Email Marketing: This marketing works on the simple principle of e-mails. In this marketing process advertisers send promotional mails to some potential customers such that they will follow to mentioned links and eventually make some purchases on their websites.
  • Search Engine Marketing: In this process, marketing strategy revolves around promoting products, services on search engines. Everyday millions of people make use of search query hence search engine marketers optimize their sites in that only to gain more profit. This SEM (Search engine marketing) is divided in to two dimensions: Organic and Inorganic Marketing. Organic marketing means usage of On-Page and Off-Page techniques. On page techniques are used for keyword research, site navigation, RSS feeds, content syndication, etc. where as Off-page techniques are used as article submission, link exchange, Blog postings, etc. Other type is inorganic marketing and it is a kind of advertising process which works on the Pay per Click module.
  • Affiliate Marketing: This type of marketing comprises mainly in two parts. One is merchants (advertisers) and other is affiliates (publishers). Number of online affiliate networks is the major factor to achieve increased profits. This concept works on the principle of pay per click or pay per lead.
